Into Something Better: Clynnog-fawr, Wales

Hi friends,

Time for our second instalment of Into Something Better, a blog circle from mamas around the world who share their experience in the outdoors and document it with their lens detached from the camera body.

This month I am camping in Wales, and it’s absolutely fabulous, we are loving every minute of it.  We were on a farm for a few days, and I know  the images will speak for themselves.  Dyllon has taken a special love for the chickens. After two days he was cuddling them all.

Please follow the circle to Cindy when you reach the end of this post.

Sleeping In The Forest
by Mary Oliver
I thought the earth remembered me,
She took me back so tenderly
Arranging her skirts
Her pockets full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before
A stone on the riverbed,
Nothing between me and the white fire of the stars,
But my thoughts.
And they floated light as moths
Among the branches of the perfect trees.
All night I heard the small kingdoms
Breathing around me.
The insects and the birds
Who do their work in darkness.
All night I rose and fell,
As if water, grappling with luminous doom.
By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times
Into something better.
